About Me
I'm a UX designer based in Brooklyn, NY. I’m also an artist with a background in ceramics and photography. I can draw a straight line between ceramics and UX design: both have the goal of delivering usability and delight to the user. Similarly, when I’m working on an artwork, I always keep in mind how the viewer will experience the piece.
When I make a photograph, I consider how the viewer experiences my work and the emotional effect it has on them. I make decisions to emphasize aspects of a photo that elicit beauty and mystery and give a deep sense of space.
Ceramics taught me to design functional pottery based on the way that the user would interact with each pot. I considered the context and purpose of the pot and allowed that to drive design decisions. Then, I added glazing and decoration to give the user an emotional response.
As a UX designer, I’m excited to use these skillsets to solve user’s problems by designing useful and delightful products.
Besides UX and art, I am also passionate about cooking food from all over the world.
