About Me

Hi, I’m Ivan Jacobson, I’m a product designer with a background in art. I’m based in Brooklyn, NY and currently a part-time product designer at Unconvo. I recently entered the field and I’m excited to take the next step!

I went to school for ceramics and photography. I gravitated towards functional pottery, striving to make objects that were useful and beautiful. I learned to base my design decisions on how the user would interact with each pot. Ceramics and UX design are similar in this way, they both focus on designing products that provide a functional experience centering on the users’ needs.

As a UX designer, I’m excited to use my skillsets to solve user’s problems by designing useful and delightful products. Besides UX design and art, I am also passionate about cooking food from all over the world.
